Howdy. Question for the disc brake conversion Yota people: What the fuck do you do for caliper mounts on a narrow (1982) rear axle?
There isn't shit for room between the calipers and the leaf springs, along with the u-bolt plates. For my current situation I have Montero rotors and if I...
My 4th gen has had the stock ps pump since I finished the build (about a year and half ago)
It’s got a scout 2 steering box drilled and tapped with a 2”x8” trailgear ram and it was steering slow as can be and in the snow it was scary to drive because you couldn’t correct oversteer fast enough...
I recently have had two different issues with my 4th 04 v8 gen 4runner that I had a hard time finding info about and diagnosing
1. I had unknowingly had some water leaking into the cab from the section where the inner fender meets the front of the firewall under the wiper valence.
I had...
Where do I get replacement rubber bushings for these transfer case mounts? I've looked a few different times but to no luck.
These: HD Heavy Duty Transfer Case Mount for Toyota
good am all,

Good evening I’m doing the timing chain because I thought I heard a lot of ticking that was more than normal and so here’s a quick little video of what I’m looking at when I look down from the cam gear going down in and I’m trying to figure out if them are the timing chain guides a break because...
2000 taco with 3.4.
The heater fan works fine, but it blows luke warm air. Was like this before I replaced the heater core. One hose feeding the heater core is hot, the other hose is much cooler.
It's full of coolant.
What would cause this?
Never posted much on the OG board but finally ready to make the plunge here and post a build thread.
I bought this truck in 2014 as a basket case project DD when I was a senior in college with a 1 car garage to wrench in...Not the wisest move at the time but worked out great long term.
How it...
What length shocks does everyone typically use for a SASs on their trucks or 4runners?
I realize I should have my swap done and cycle everything and take measurements but I am hoping to find some quality rebuild-able reservoir shocks on the cheap, and re-build them before I start the swap...
Anyone got the factory Toyota part number for the 1” bore master cylinder from the 90-97 FJ80, or the 89-94 V6 pickup & runner? Looking to be spoon fed if possible...thanks!
So not a yota guy but two of my brothers are. I'm doing maintenance on an 04 tacoma. I've done jeep ujoints before in a vise. These were damn near seized in. Had to put it in my 20T press and it required A LOT of pressure. Then of course the loud bang when they let go and all my spacers get...
2000 taco 3.4 4x4
Replacing the heater core and I noticed this piece wedged on the steering rack.
Recent work is starter replacement. It has been throwing a lean code so I replaced the pvc and a couple of the vacuum hoses. Running great.
WTF is this piece?
Looking to put a 5-speed R150 pulled from a T100 behind a VW TDI (ALH motor). Will most likely upgrade the motor with new turbo, injectors and a tune that puts it about 150hp and 260 lbs-ft torque. My first choice for clutch kit was Marlin HD (1200 lbs version) but looks like they have been OOS...
More of a halfass attempt of throwing spare parts to build a daily and fun truck... while the other shit gets built. Basically run around town and shoot the finger to the instagram jeep fags at hidden falls.
Pretty much exactly how I bought it a couple years ago. Couple small .25" rust spots...
What is the hole infront of the bearing cup used for on the v6 to RF1A adapter? That hole will allow fluid to enter the tailhousing cavity for no reason I could see. The tail housing is quite large, requiring extra fluid
I need to make my own adapter to go from my 2006 R151F (Aussie) trans to...
Long story short I have a 94 w56 forward shift from my original truck in my buggy with a forward shift case. Reverse is knocking and it's basically a glitter factory and getting worst every ride. I bought a earlier w56 that's top shift but is a fresh rebuild. Did some research and it seems...
Bench building my next buggy and thinking about hp8 vs 9.5 in the front.
I'm talking fabbed housing and fully built diff, so same outer, locker, and all that jazz.
Which one?
