Is there a market or value for used Jeep wagoneers?

My big brother passed away last week. He was a lifelong bachelor, I'm working on clearing up all the miscellaneous things he had around his rental place.

One item is an early '70s Jeep wagoneer, I haven't spent much time looking at it but he drove it to work on fence lines and stuff like that until 2018 or so.

I was thinking of just throwing it on bring a trailer, unless there's a better place to at least get the word out that this thing is available.

Any thoughts on a reasonable price?

I'm

Thanks in advance.

It looks like a nice unmolested project, tho I see rust behind the rear wheel

High end always garaged cream puffs seem to get good money, project ones don't seem to get much more than any other old 4wd

I imagine it'll come down to how much time and money you want to put into it to get what out of it.

If you think it ran when parked, and a tuneup fluids, battery and tires will make it good for around town, and the seats look good in pics, maybe spend $400 in buffing/ waxing/ detail and take a million pics and ask 8500 and see what the market brings. It might be 8500 or 5k

I think BAT is your best bet. I've seen nice ones go for 20K I've seen decent ones go for 6K. I've seen nice ones listed for 13K that sat. It's a wierd market.

Edited out the location part, commierodo have 49 state emissions?
Year, interior, rust...

Bonus bux if it's a non smog year...
+1 sorry about your loss.

Collins Brothers or BJs off-road up here in Washington should be able to get you a value.

I have been offered 10 to 15k in passing just driving mine around. not sure if they were serious offers, mostly just parking lot encounters with folks admiring it.

The drivetrain is solid but the body has a few minor rust issues.

Biggest problem with those is the 1339 xfer case.

Auto or manual? I think that era is TH-400 and Dana 20 if auto. Bonus points if it’s T-18 and Dana 20.

Quadratrac was 74-79 if memory serves.

Check front axle if open or closed knuckle.

Sorry for you loss.
Looks like a 71 or 72 to me. Could be a 1414X "super wagoneer" if the side paneling is super faded would grain. The wrap around taillights are also a sign it is if I remember right. Those wheels are interesting looking.

Wish I could help with pricing, seems like it would make an awesome town cruiser though.

Edit to add: rear spoiler too and it looks like the fancier interior potentially. That's a sweet fsj

Depends on location and condition.
I’d say if it ran and drove, it’s $10k
If it’s as is, $5500-7k.
If it’s a later 89-91, those sell for $15k in the same shape.
