purchased a while ago, but finally used the other day:
bought the Ryobi die grinder with a bunch of flap wheels/sanding discs etc. It's nice for small stuff.
what I hadn't used was the carbide bits.
Same strategy. I think a set of 8 or 10 was less than $20
My technique for anything carbide is to sort Amazon by the cheapest and then pick the first with more than 5 reviews. Cheap carbide has worked for me every time so far
To expand...Steel bits have a lot of cutter teeth whereas aluminum cutters have teeth spaced out a lot.
And the aluminum ones make nasty shavings. The steel ones basically make dust.To expand...

If you use the steel bits on aluminum, they tend to load up.
