Kids outgrew the crf 110 and 125.

Problems. The 125 is physically too small for both. they do not need or want more power. These bikes have never been wound out in 3rd gear. They do not want anything heavier. The 125 big wheel, has wheels way too small for the woods.

Everything I see seems to be a 250 and that isn’t an option because of the problem above.

What are my options.

They are done growing and didn’t make it very far. Short gene pool.
It’s not too hard to rebuild the suspension and throw a 1-2” lowering kit in.
This keeps the geometry correct, unlike lowering links.

You’re saying get some 250’s and lower them?
It’s an option. Also shorter seat foam - cheapest place to start.
My wife is short and has been getting better on the dirt bike. She wants to ride the fast full sized bikes now. These tricks help.
My current favorite technical woods weapon is my Beta 200RR. It’s light and nimble.

There is a guy in the series I run, running in 40+B ripping around on one of these things and making much more expensive bikes look bad

He got 3rd in class yesterday, but that course was made for something like that (very tight/rough trail with minimal wide open areas)

Beta Xtrainer is smaller than a full sized bike but is a 300 smoker. I think after '25 you could get the 250 here also but not 100% on that.

Beta dealer a few miles from me but as a brand I never heard of. I assumed cheep Chinese stuff

Do agree that you can go a lot faster on em, when you have to use all of the bike
you ride it WFO
It started as a way to speed up on my MX bike, because the only way you are going to make time is in the corners
but it was fun so I kept doing it

at one time around time we had our own little mx circuit with all the back yeard tracks around town
On race say we could usually show up and have enough riders for our own class, and then we would pile into the vet class with them too

fun times, I still have the TTR, but my kid has releived me of ownership of it and has informed me to get get another one

Out there somewhere is a full page color image of the 4sk Nat'ls of the start gate at Glen Helen, and there I am about to get my ass whooped/heat stroked

I have made it in my local races to the A main on my TTR 125
it will go fast, just got to make it go fast

Its easier to ride a slow bike fast than it is to ride a fast bike fast. It also teaches you about keeping up your momentum. I kinda miss ripping underpowered bike around on tight woods trails.
