Basic week. Spent time doing stuff around the house and prepping the soon to be sold motorhome for sale. Several interested parties. One couple looking at it tomorrow, another next week and a guy third inline waiting to hear. There was supposed to be a guy coming today but the ****er ghosted me. I hate people like that. At least have the decency to let me know.

MIL is staying with us for a week or two. I look forward till when she leaves. Wife hit a deer today with the dually. The deer lost but now I need a new grill.

Threw a new exhaust on my truck after work. Old one had hangers rotted. Might be a touch loud.

Charged the battery on the SxS to see if that would get rid of the front locker fault. Nope. Service time.

Chicken kabobs and corn on the grill once GF and kid get home.
 
Had lunch with a few brothers. Doing yard work. A veteran friend might want to meet up later. Wifes visiting her folks. If vet friend falls threw i got a few steaks if yall want to be fed in a non romantic manner.

Found out today they're laying off our entire department come labor day. Works fine for me seeing as I was just burning my vacation before I quit anyway. Asked if we could burn out vacation before getting laid off and they said yes. I have a big balance, so I'll be off work starting next friday for the rest of the summer. Come back for 2 days, then get laid off and begin 22wks of severance. Couldn't have worked out more perfect! 🤣

So, kicking back on the patio having a vodka tonic celebrating.
 
In. Dad almost got caught by more scammers again. I called him just as he was jumping on a chat with them telling him they were going to call him and to please verify his number. :mad3:

Had a call with the VP at 9 and asked if I could take most of July off to accompany him on what will most likely be his last trip to Germany. She said absolutely just let me know what I need to do while you're gone. :lmao:

Booked a flight and hotels. Trying to decide if I want to rent a car or just ride the train like when I was a kid. Spending all but 2 days in the town he was born which will be celebrating its 1200th year. He seems really excited and happy I can go with him.

Now just home, beer, music, going to cook up some rouladen and have a boring night relaxing with the wife.
 
Long week despite it being only 4 days. Put a few miles on the bike to test out my 80/20 tires. So much better on the pavement. Mowed lawn after work and going to choke down some food. Have to bulk back up to where I was two months ago. Lost like 8lbs. Need to stop being a bitch and stick with a consistent lifting routine.

Southern Germany on Lake Konstanz(Bodensee) Ive been at least 10 times. Only twice with dad and 3 times as an adult. I used to fly over and stay at a family friends hotel and work and vacation with family friends when I was a kid. From about age 9 to 15.

Someone suggested (Sorry I forget who, and I'm to lazy togo look) that i use dripping from Sundays ribs to cook rice, Great Idea I thinks grab a bag of long grain and with out measuring dump some in. As you can probably guess to much. dump in about 4 cups more fluid. leave over night to soak dump in 2 more in the morning set temp to at 250. then I get the bright idea of dumping in a bag of frozen veg that I bought 6 months ago, and about a pound and a half of cut up ham! I now have 6 quart bags half full in my freezer.
Right now there are a couple of Chicken leg quarters I hope are done.

We’ve had over 11” of rain this month. Most of that in the past 10 days. Makes getting **** done is a challenge. Looks like we might have 3 more days of drying before rain chances come back into play.

Nothing planned for tonight. More attempts are work stuff tomorrow.

In. Was supposed to go look at a motorhome earlier, but got busy and lost track of time sorting my sock drawer. The guy called and texted and it hurt my feelings so I won’t do business with him.

After work I power washed the grille and replaced the burner bars and heat shields. Should be good to go for a few more years.

Now chilling for the evening. Super nice night.

Mild week in the HOA. I went to visit with mom after work. She's 89, physically she's healthy, but her mental sharpness is fading.

Mrs left the property to attend an employee appreciation event for work (mandatory fun). I picked up some nice ribeyes for dinner later. I think I'll crack open one of those fancy beers we bought last weekend :grinpimp: :beer:
 
Spent $94 at the store buying all on sale stuff, then spent $105 on a not full tank of gas. Now I'm drinking beer and trying to decide if I actually make dinner tonight or we just eat leftovers.
Also bought lard to make a pie type thing with these cherries that I'm not eating.

Work sucked
Gave the cars at the house a whore sponge bath and took the iroc for Iced cream. Just getting back to the house after a light cruise.

Gawd dammed speeding enforcement weekend. Why do they have to do this when it’s the best weekend of the year???
 
In, was supposed to fly home today but the fog rolled in and kept flights out of here all day. As soon as they canceled the last flight for the day the weather changed and got nice again. Currently stuck here till Wednesday due to morning flights and hotel rooms being booked solid for bird watchers.
