Cool Old Iron in your Hood

On the way home from work on Wednesday.
I doubt it is still there, but one was sitting in a barn around my hometown. My dad did some construction work for the guy who owned it. He said he brought it home with him when he got out of the army. Super rare sight in central Texas in the late 90s.

Im torn on restoring ours. Wife says keep it a beat crawler. I want to use it more as a driver now thst I'm gettin older. It seems to have taken a back seat to the Sunbeam.
I’m just maintaining mine - mild rock crawler build on 35s. I did buy a buggy to beat on and save the Bronco. Mine mostly does hardware store errands around town.

This morning lining up.
Yeah they ****ed me. I went to register Thursday only to find they ended registration. Said they were only doing in person registration from 8 to 8 Thursday and Friday. I couldn’t make it till Saturday so I was out. I even tried to email them only to get an automated email saying online registration was over and they were no longer answering emails.

Only to find out this morning my dad said the news announced they were doing in person registration this morning too.

**** all them ****s. Ruined my weekend.

Doesn't surprise me really. I don't think they really expected this turnout either. Was a **** show trying to get back. Traffic control sucked.

Lots of vehicles were overheating from all the sitting or breaking down in general. Hell, yesterday my neighbor in the rv parking got towed in. My buddy and I helped him get up and running again so he could make the parade. He came from Houston area, was in his 70's and was bummed he came all this way.

All in all, was pretty cool.

That sucks you got the runaround. Should've just showed up. :flipoff2:
