Those were in the sales paperwork, apparently non-negotiable.Why do you need gap?
Then you are absolutely correct and the sale was non negotiableThose were in the sales paperwork, apparently non-negotiable.
I read that they are predicting a large amount of repos. Unsure the validity.Because after too many trips back to the dealer for little crap that stops working, people probably just surrender them and quit paying for them?
The dealers make BANK on warranty sales. I believe they buy them for pennies on the dollar.Gap i can certainly understand as a liability thing. Warranty is probably do to a few people getting a bill they weren't prepared for and just abandoning the vehicles.
Not saying I agree with it but I could certainly understand wanting to push it if youve been burned a few times and banks not wanting to do buisness with the dealership anymore.
Last time I was considering buying one, I couldn’t get a quote through email. They flat out refused unless I came by in person. Dip**** even scheduled a time for me to stop by and called me -back pissed off that I didn’t show.the last new one I purchased was in 2000
I called the dealer, he said this is the price
I said that I wanted something else that wasn't as nice
He said that he would have to order it, but he needed 500.00 to place the order
I sent him 500.00
He told he that when it is on its way, I have three days to get it off the lot
He called, I was there a couple of days later with a check and I was out of there in probably 20 min
less than 30k for my gen2 and they even filled up the tank all the way
This is how it should be done

Sounds like oem is not covering a lot of things they used to and the dealership is tired of getting ****ed by the factory. Because you know, OP is going to drag his jeep in there for some small item that failed expecting it to be covered under OEM warranty.Because after too many trips back to the dealer for little crap that stops working, people probably just surrender them and quit paying for them?
Cars should be sold in vending machines. The salesman adds zero value to the equation.

You'd be better off getting a transmission replaced, it's less of a wear item than a light or brake padsAre you referring to aftermarket warranty? Absolute waste of ****ing money. The one that I had wouldn’t even replace an $80 fog light housing that kept getting water in it and blowing bulbs. It’s not like I needed a new ****ing transmission.
That's pretty much how we recently bought our BMW. Build on line, dropped off deposit at dealership. Even got to track on line the various stages of assembly and when it shipped from the factory, to when it arrived at the dealership. Dealership even delivered it to our house....Vehicles should be sold off the internet - go online, go through the "build and price" to put together what you want, pay your deposit, have it delivered.
People like her need to be hired out to keep things in check.Mrs studies the car market as a hobby. She knows more about newer cars than I do, and many of the dealers apparently.
On more than a couple occasions we have gotten to the "negotiation table" to have Mrs completely mind **** the salesman with her knowledge of the market. She is like a human computer when it comes to numbers. On a couple occasions a salesman has looked over to me for something... anything...
Me- "This is her car, her deal"
We have walked out on more salesmen than I can remember.
I just got another Heep after 10 years without one. I'm trying to figure out how to get the driver position more comfortable and I've had it for a few months now. My old JK 2dr was either way more comfy, or now I'm pushing 50 and things just don't feel the same. I hate having a 4-door over a 2-door, but something has to pull my little boat to the river or dock. While it could probably do it, pulling a boat with a 2dr for 8 hours through Florida I95 is not my preference.I drove one when I was looking at overpriced 4 Runners. Was coworker’s daily.
Why is the B pillar where my shoulder is? How do you guys drive those things?
I made it almost a half mile before I turned back around and parked it. My Lezburu must be a full foot wider in the cab.
I had a similar dip**** local. I'd contacted every dealer within 300 miles of me. I'd already test drove at the other local dealer. Knew what I wanted, they only came in 3 trim levels, the only other options were color and sunroof. Wasn't like there were a lot of options to choose from.Last time I was considering buying one, I couldn’t get a quote through email. They flat out refused unless I came by in person. Dip**** even scheduled a time for me to stop by and called me -back pissed off that I didn’t show.
