School me on the SFI bellhousings. Which one works with a stock GM case? Its for an LS, th400 with a gen 1 sbc converter. It will wind up behind a BBC eventually though.

Who's should I be looking into that will bolt to the pump with just cutting the old bell off? Is that an option?

I do not need to replace my bellhousing, this is for safety only.

Friend had an Ultra Bell in his buggy that bolted to the pump bolts after cutting the stock bellhousing part off. Never had a problem with it

I may have to go with the ultra bell. I love the reid product but im hearing that you need to run an adapter with a stock gm case.

I have an Ultra bell on my TH400. I have seen a Reid bell housing up close and regret going the UltraBell route.

I found that the quality, fit and finish of the Reid unit is much much better than the JW one.

Bringing this back. So Reid, Ati, or other?

Reid is higher than ati and some of the other options.

Updating this for anybody interested. Reid no longer makes a bell for anything but their case. The reid case has provisions for the bell to bolt on without bolting to the pump housing. No other bells will bolt onto the reid case.

I have an ultrabell on a th400. Cut off the existing bellhousing and then it bolts to the pump. It is a solid looking piece and I have had no issues at all. IIRC it had the top bolt that would bolt to an LS and I cut it off to make it slip past the firewall in my buggy easier. BBC engine.
