Might be tech, but it's so simple.

Recently got the broken back hatch handle on the First Gen Sequoia.
I watched many videos on how to get in but most were incomplete.
I tried several methods and didn't want to go down the butcher road.
The butcher method works, but not my style. FFW to i learned enough to get it open, and thought I'd share on a YouTube video.
Never posted a video on YouTube so I thought I would run it past the critics a segment at a time. I couldn't get it all in one take like needed, but its a rough draft.
Cut one

Seems good so far...

Same thing happened to my ZJ. PITA.

I just added one of those pinchy fishing weights at the end at the latch. It worked for 2 years for me and is still working for the new owner a year later. I dont know if it was bent bracket or a stretched cable.

I think they got out of order.
Either way, it might be useful to someone just like me.
A longer format on YouTube would be a better way to share. Just thought I'd try this.
Both your internet, and your Sequoia back hatch, completely suck.
I agree!
Trying things I'm not familiar with.
A link to your stellar videos would be welcome.

Yeah. And?
Care to share the obvious with the class?
No **** it sucks. I'm learning.
Wow me with your bitchin videos.
**** me.

Yep.
And sharing is how we all learn.
Some diminished mothfockles haven't figured that out yet.
But it's all good. Can't save everyone.

I drilled the fishing weight so when clamped, it closed all the way.
When I was a kid I bought pliers to make new ends on bicycle brake cables. For some reason my friends and I were always needing brake cables made.
