In now till I pass out from a busy day.
Spent the day with my high energy 7yo grandson.
We fished a pond and he caught a couple bluegill, I gave him a tour of the baseball stadium project we are working on, golfed because he really wanted to, went to the park and tossed a football around and played on the equipment, and eventually got him to crash out on the couch and watch a movie.
My watch says over 15k steps today. My body says that’s accurate.
His mom is picking him up around 9am tomorrow. I might take him out to the hunting property for awhile before she shows up

In. Mowed the lawn at mom's, let the kid learn how to drag a trailer with the quad to deal with the brush and stuff she had stacked up. Got the transmission mostly back in my daily driver which involved fixing some "temporary" exhaust work I did in 2019 and extracting a broken collector stud on the driver's exhaust manifold (which means I can return the replacement manifold I bought).

Conveniently, my helper got ahold of me because he was getting his ass kicked by a bolt so I was able to swing by the work shop and acquire the stud I needed and a couple tools I forgot yesterday as I was leaving. Swooped in and cut the last turbo bolt for him so hopefully his dad's truck will be back together soon and they can get back home before midnight.

We moved out to the back deck to enjoy the evening breeze only to see a column of black smoke rising over the hill...

"FUUUCK!!!"

I check my Pulse Point app, local fire guys have been dispatched. Nephew texts, "car fire 1/4 mile west of property". The breeze was in our favor thank god. The highway was closed down. Fire guys (who have really earned their pay recently) arrived with in a few minutes.

Fire is now out, highway is open, all is well out here in Sloughhouse

In. Roommate moved to a different state last weekend. It seems him and I have different definitions of move out. His dad owns the place so he was responsible for upkeep. So I spent most of my week after work getting the yardwork and outside upkeep back under some form of control.

Spent the morning installing a molle panel in the front of my Tundra's bed. Seemed like the best option for lashing stuff forward when needed. Had to modify the panel and installation to not give up the length of the bed along the bottom. I was going to have to change how it installed anyway since the product page failed to mention that it doesn't fully support a long bed. Proceeded to nap through the heat of the afternoon before going after the garage. Got it cleaned and the big items rearranged. Seems like there is a quite bit more floor space now.

Tomorrow I am going after a pair of shelves and piling up the stuff that the roommate forgot to take. I need to figure out to do with his stuff since I refuse to store it. At some point I need to deal with his room. The floor is generally sticky for some reason. I think its dust and oil from his cat. Only other things on my list for the weekend are to build a couch frame and finish getting a pre-approval.

The MV still has your name on it...
Good man,

I ever come into FU money I am getting us a couple of these and RC30s.
Set them up in the living room and just marvel.

Do you have the rail system in the bed? I have the cargo divider in my Tundra and love it. I use it to keep things closer to the tailgate.

I had it in my Tacoma and had to have it when I moved to the Tundra. There is cheaper knock-off that will work with modification (make shorter).

Maybe at some point before I owned it, but not currently. 95% of the time tying forward is clipping in the front of a kayak.

In. Troubleshot a bad led driver at church - ~10 VAC with power hooked up, but line voltage is 120 when disconnected.

Ate some lunch and my buddy called me to work on his sand trap for his pool.

Got that all plumbed in to find out the O-rings are shot for the switcher head, so he's off to order those.

Road bikes around for a couple hours with the boy today. Explored some woods, went to A playground and got a 3d printed dragon from his buddy. Then we went and visited his former daycare teachers/surrogate grandparents then wants to have him come over to learn checkers and chess at least once a week so we tried to plan that out to start next week. Then we rode our bikes to the brewery and had a beer and Izzi respectively while playing with the 3d prints on the bar top. Annoyed some people, but **** them that's my brewery.
Came home and played in the backyard and had a charcuterie board for dinner.

Charcuterie board?

Is that fancy for bologna, Kraft singles and some grapes on a paper plate?

Costco shrimps, Safeway 50% off ham, canned olives, two different types of fancy cheese, cucumber, apple, crackers, on a cutting board. Wife's actually sold multiple of them before. Hwrs always look better than mine for some reason.
Also known as adult lunchables for millenials :flipoff2:
Wife.mafe that comment, we're basically having a fancy lunch able for dinner. :flipoff2:

Went to phx with the wife today. Damn its hot and to many people. Caught a Diamondbacks game it was military appreciation night, 20 buck beers, even moar people and a cluster **** getting out of phx.

Was in,
Bucked up some oak and maple I had down across the street, ran pole saw on some of the trees near the house, passport renewal. Wife’s cousin came up, wife took naked pictures of her to send to her new boyfriend, long time friend of mine. Went up to the ski area for a few drinks and to pick up the kid. Stopped by a friends house to check in and a few more beers.

Broken hand is telling me I over did it yesterday running saw.

No pics, nothing PG.

Are there more Alpaca's?
When my friends lived in WI on their mini farm they had close to 30 of them, had the boys separated from the girls to keep the peace. Friendly animals, a little crazy and playful.

No ducks for them, had a large chicken coup, sheep and two large Great Pyreneese to keep it all in order.
