When you’re out of Schlitz,

Sad, It was said to not be 3/2 beer when I was at Ft. Knox, so we all drank that!

So Lavern and Shirley are out of a job?

:flipoff2:

That was the Shotz Brewery of Milwaukee, but the filming was done at the Anheuser-Busch plant in Van Nuys, California.

I thought alcohol consumption was supposed to go up during hard times?

It’s meth now. Get with the times, Boomer. 😀🖕

Fern bar dark Ale slurper ! :flipoff2: Pabst is still around, not sure if it's the original brew or not. Loved Schlitz and the Malt Liquor 20-oz was the go to in HS.

Basically corporatized, "collectivist" per our furry intellect member. There are lots of superb Mexican beers that aren't crankcase oil dark, bitter and nasty.

I drove past a bar that used to be packed on weekends, last night at 9pm, 5 cars

people aren't drinking as much
People aren't going out drinking as much
Young people aren't drinking as much as previous generations
And lots of people are shifting to thc instead

Bars seem to be dying, and alcohol producers are probably in for a rough ride

I'd swear I remember that 10+ years ago Schlitz was up and coming with hipsters, kinda like trucker hats. Nostalgia...

Man, I haven’t had a Schlitz beer since elementary school.
My first drink of beer was in grade school, our neighbor across the street used to stand out side a water his lawn. One day his son asked dad for a drink then handed the bottle to me, I had seen the commercials on tv (1960s) but had no idea what it was!
