Motorcycle ends up dangling from traffic light, insane wreck footage shows

by DBS Wire
A Canadian intersection turned into something out of an action movie Saturday afternoon when a motorcycle rider was launched into the air so violently after a crash with a BMW that the bike wound up hanging from a traffic light pole like a twisted Christmas ornament.

The insane wreck unfolded around 3 p.m. in Delta, British Columbia — a suburb outside Vancouver where stunned witnesses watched emergency crews swarm the intersection after the high-impact collision.

Security footage circulating online appears to show the motorcycle speeding southbound before smashing head-on into a silver BMW that was attempting a left-hand turn. The force of the impact sent both the rider and the bike airborne in a split-second scene that looked more “Fast & Furious” than suburban Canada.

And somehow, incredibly, the rider lived.

Photos from the aftermath show the mangled blue-and-white motorcycle wrapped around the top of a traffic signal several feet above the road while debris littered the intersection below. The BMW’s front end was crushed, and its windshield appeared shattered from the impact.

The biker was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries that authorities said were thankfully not life-threatening — a stunning outcome considering the sheer violence of the crash. The BMW driver escaped without injuries, according to local reports.

Delta fire officials described the bizarre aftermath in a Facebook statement Saturday night.

“As a result of the collision, the motorcycle became suspended from a traffic signal above the intersection,” the department said.

“Our crews worked throughout the incident to assist with patient care, scene safety, and later the safe removal of the motorcycle from the traffic light.” No kidding.

The footage quickly spread online, with viewers comparing the scene to a Hollywood stunt gone wrong and marveling that the rider survived at all. Authorities have not yet announced whether charges will be filed as the investigation continues.

Basically Cage driver made a left hand turn in front of the guy on the bike

just missed it by thaaaat much

IMHO, the horse was very patient with that idiot.
My horse will spook (kick) if she hears a crackle of a plastic water bottle. GF and I are going insane to de-sensitize her. We hung a whole mess of plastic bottles over her feed bunk; nothing. Crinkle one up and she goes nuts.

This is what I saw from the beginning, ****ers turn in front of you all the time
has anyone seen what 'speeding' is? how 'fast' was this guy going ?

I've been around horses for most of my life. That guy obviously hadn't. There was no other outcome but the horse eventually knocking him the **** out.
I can count on one hand how many times ive been around a horse. They spook me. That's a large animal that I can't read. I dont make any sudden movements and approach with extreme caution.

Well the best rule I follow is to never walk right behind one.
best to approach from the front/side and place a hand on them. then continue around the back as close as possible while keeping your hand on their rump.

They cant see you directly behind them and can spook if you sneak up in that blind spot.

Oh yeah.

**** horses.

Stupid ****ing things that will try to kill you because "OH ****! A PLASTIC BAG!" . Gotta put fuel in them even when you aint riding them. Gotta clean up thier exhaust.

Motorcycles >horses. Even if they have made my lil sister infinitely more wealthy than me.
:lmao:

Can’t find a non fb video. Sorry.
I see a perfectly good sidewalk to ride on. Dumbass.

Thats ****ing stupid. :shaking:

"But the bicycles are so much faster than pedestrians, it would be a hazard!" Yes, and what's faster than bicycles?

I got harassed so much by small town cops for riding bikes on the sidewalksas a kid, it became a game that I usually lost at. Cited once for running a red light and not having a seat on my bicycle.

“don’t you fa***t cops have anything better to do?”

They in fact did not.
