Josh (Wisconsinite) and I have been talking about making a Dragon rip forever.

I’m fortunate to live close by. Josh not so much.

But he still managed to drag his dragon slaying machine from up north this weekend.

Another buddy joined with a Polaris Slingshot too.

We left around 8am Saturday and met with crispins who guided us the whole day with his orange missile.

We did Cherohala Skyway, then the Dragon 1.5 times (cut short because someone else crashed and blocked the road) then Happy Valley Rd.

Such a good time with everyone!!!
Super glad Josh made the drive down to come visit us in TN.

On a serious note, I have brought many people over to the Dragon for their first time.

No one ever, got more jacked up excited, than Wisconsinite , I feel like he would still be going back and forth on it right now if he could have stayed.

And you know something, it was cool, it reminded me of the first time I came to the dragon with Sportbike group back in 2004, I was blown away.

I wanted to keep riding around the area so much that I bought a vacation home not too far away the next year, that is actually how I ended up moving here from Florida. The Dragon blew my mind, that their were roads like that you could just ride on for free as much as you wanted? Yeah I get it dude.

Im thinking there are not many twisty roads out in Wisconsin that would make owning a SM fun. That was probably the first time he has gotten to really hang it out on that thing and didn't want the fun to end. I don't blame him one bit.

When I lived in RI and had my KTM with a SM setup on it that bike was so much fun to ride. Moved to flat ass straight road Texas and it was boring as **** so I sold it.

Here is me wondering when Wisconsinite was going to speed it up on that Supermoto, he should have done disappeared over the horizon by then :)

thats a myth. cars are faster, more tire on the ground means more traction.

not defending that untouched rubber on the edges, but not everyone wants to eat **** and crash their new bike on public roads. my 20 year old sumo laid down and I could care less. my 1200r duc, I would never push that hard and if it dropped, Id cry my eyes out

:flipoff2:

****ing rad tho, if I was anywhere nearby Id show up

You would be very wrong about that.

Back in 2015 I took my new to me Miata from SLC to Viola, WI where my good friend lived.
Spent a week up there tearing the roads up, we did Great River Road together for most of the WI side, also solo I drove lots of roads in driftless region of the state including Prairie Du Chien area, as well as areas towards Wisconsin Dells.

My friend showed me this bad ass shortcut between Viroqua and La Crosse, ton of tight corners, traveling through a heavily forrested area.

All told I drove a 3900 miles round trip, to date it remains one of my favorite road trips I have taken.

We stopped at a grocery store in La Crosse, kid working there did a double take on the car/license plate. He did not believe me that I drove it up from UT, and was planning on driving back:laughing:

Not here, riding on a straight grid of roads is boring as ****. I had more fun putting the dirt setup back on and ripping around in my buddies hay fields.

need your zip code, I guess in my mind, everyone lives in or near a big city

That's why I got rid on my 911 when I lived in Vegas. Only one good road that goes between Kyle Canyon and Lee Canyon, and that's about it. There's a nice road out by Lake Mead, but it 50mph speed limit and HEAVILY patrolled by park rangers.
