Making a bad choice in a used BMW, how bad will it be?

Man I've had GREAT luck with integrated bead blasters on rim clamps with the 4 holes, one on each jaw. jaw needs to be on inside of wheel, hold tire up against top bead, bear hug and twist to get the top bead to engage and hang a big, lower tire enough it doesn't break tenuous top seal but gets bottom bead closer, hit the blast air while core removed main air is going. Normally works.
Now, for tires that have sat on their side and there is more than a 1.5ish" gap that needs help, if the cheetah won't get it the blue starting fluid from Oreilly's will.

I maintain my position that the freedom to do what the **** you want without a bunch of womanly screeching is the best part of owning your own tire machine. :flipoff2:
While I generally agree, the young lady at the local tire store is HAWT.
So I continue to not buy my own tire machine....

pics or it didn't happen, etc.

probably felt like 90 in a normal car too, right?

Triple digits always crept up on me if I wasn't paying attention when running without the cruise set on the highway in my W220; 110 felt about the same as 80 from the drivers seat.

from last weekends snowpocalypse.

many people laughed when I drove by pushing snow with a BMW bumper while everyone else was freaking out about how bad the roads were.

Michelin or Kumho ? I have that tread pattern on a vehicle's tires that won't go past indicated 100 or so . . .. . .

winter tires and wheels.
nexen winspike.
I believe they were T speed rated.
don't do speed runs on winter tires I guess.
the summer wheels need new rubber and I am unsure what I'm going to do since all tires are now high as giraffe pussy.

can attest that the bmw limiter @147 is the real number.

with 2 passengers and all the camping gear in the back because station wagon.
allegedly took place on two lane highway in death valley.
That's 2 more than my bugeye STI got but it did break 100 on snow and dirt.

Have owned three high-mileage bimmers and never had any major issues beyond routine maintenance and the occasional wheel bearing/axle. All the straight sixes are reliable and 200K+ engines aside from the early hiccups of the N54. Once you get into the modern G-series platforms though, the amount of tech on those cars gets pretty crazy. I will rock my F32 as long as I can. No cameras, no parking sensors, no ACC, doesn't even have navigation.

The N54 is a very high maintenance motor even after hiccups. It can make great power so it may be worth it but you cant just hand wave the work to keep them alive.

Euro fanboys would write off Subaru head gaskets as "regular maintenance"

For about 10 years, they were regular maintenance
Exacerbated in large part by flat rate techs just sending it.

I think if they'd have actually done factory quality prep jobs (which let's be real here, isn't realistic in a flat rate environment) they'd have all been changed once and then been fine.

one of my customers has an 09 Forester with a bad motor. Anyone done a H6 swap in that chassis?
Wasn't the H6 a stock option in that?

Never. It was just turbo or na.

maybe it was only the outbacks that got the 6, but weren't they the same chassis just with a different roof height?
