Donate to Rallying for Danny Benner's Recovery, organized by Steph Melchner

I was just informed of a young WE Rock competitor was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He’s in the ICU and could use some support.

Danny’s an awesome kid who really brings a spark to the crawling events.

Any support is appreciated, and if you want to sent things via PayPal, please send me a PM.

I hope he pulls through and fully recovers. Always sad to hear something like this, especially when it's someone so young. :frown:

Very best thoughts and prayers went for him to pull through!

Wheeled with Dean when he had Danny strapped in a Simpson baby seat bolted to the tube chassis. hope he pulls through

Wheeled some of the toughest trails at Big Dogs with Dean and Danny in the sidecar. Alan Woodson at the time said that was one of the dumbest things he ever built, but it turned out cool and the fact that Danny has driven that same buggy and done well in many comps is just a nice legacy in my mind. Kid is a fantastic driver.

Update from Dean:

I would like to thank everyone for the support and love. ❤️. He is truly loved by you all and we feel it. I will do my best to post some daily updates. As per the the great team of doctors here at Reading hospital “no news is good news”. He has a long road ahead of him. Time will reduce the swelling from all the injuries. Go figure, Danny has everyone waiting for him to wake up.

He doesn’t look the sexiest right now so I found a photo to put a smile on everyone’s face. Seeing all the photos and posts warms all our hearts. Thank you and keep them rolling.

OP here, just seeing that most of my feed of some weird green moon buggy is awesome to see. Thanks again to those who help out.

Poke nailed it. 20 something year old on a bike is bad news. I’m sure the boy never broke any traffic laws like every other 20 year old while riding.

While I appreciate the opinions, please share your comments elsewhere.

Thanks.

Yes, motorcycles are dangerous, however the freedom will never to be attained on any other mode of transportation.
Danny is one of the special ed amongst us and truly a sincere person. Please see above picture.
Everyone is young once.

When he's done recovering I know a guy who'd give him a pretty good motorcycle to replace the wrecked one. :flipoff2:

You sound more miserable to be around than me.
Hes not wrong and neither is anyone else in this thread. 20’s and bikes is super dangerous. High testosterone and and great power to weight ratio is dangerous and thats what makes it desirable. I pray he recovers fully and can get back out there. I lost a good fried at 18 on a GSXR 750. Stupid fun bike stupid dangerous in the hands of anyone who is still made of rubber and miracles. Again nobody in this thread is wrong about bikes or the freedom they provide. Praying Danny makes a full recovery.

Update:
Surgery went as planned this morning and they were also able to remove the two brain drains—huge win!

He’s back in his room now, doing what some say he does best… sleeping like a champ.

One step at a time, but definitely a step in the right direction. Keep the prayers and good vibes coming

Sounds like what people say right before a new law is passed since something is dangerous.
