Is there a universe in which it makes sense to cut a stock windshield down/ in half and use that? I had a lexan windshield and it was never great…..

A regular piece of lexan or polycarbonate sheet is soft and scratches even with the lightest dust. Abrasion Resistant and MR10 have special coatings but it cost 300 to 400 percent more. I used regular ole Lexan and was super gentle, careful, kept it off the truck and stored away and it was like a scratched up welding lens shield in no time. One of the main purposes of my on board pressurized water system is to spray off the “ glass” if it’s dusty and dirty kinda like a mobile touch free car wash lol.Is there a universe in which it makes sense to cut a stock windshield down/ in half and use that?
