Onboard water tank. 4” pipe 9 gallons. It will fill from a check valve fill on the quarter panel. It will be pressurized with the air compressor about 30 psi and I’ll put a coiled hose and spray nozzle. Muddy dogs, windshield, fill the radiator, snuff a campfire or other fire emergency or wash off a gooey cat. It will be handy.

Getting all the little tabs in for the bezels to screw to. Was able to bolt in the headlight buckets that I cut out of the 79 core support onto the 87 fenders by elongating a hole. The Seveighty Seven front end is coining along nicely.

Going to make the windshield a removable piece of AR2 Lexan 3/16” sheet.
The removable windshield is little expensive. I can use an AR2 Lexan 3/16” thick or a Lexan MR10 3/16” thick.
AR2 is 430$ for a 4’x8’ and MR10 800$ a sheet. Difference is abrasion resistance. I can use a protective film kinda like a tear off on a helmet visor. Seems silly to make a removable windshield but trail riding in the Seirras is really enjoyable without the dust clouding the way. I’m going to use a bulb gasket edge trim and Dzus fasteners for the mounting and the gasket. The Lexan will be frameless and at 3/16 support itself better under wind load. I can use 1/8 but feel that it would need a frame with supports in the middle( like in nascar and such) however I would only be saving 120$ in the cost of Lexan. The frame would take me the better part of 12 hrs or so to make it just the way I want, and it will hold the shape of the windshield opening making it harder to store. As for storage of it I am going to create a false floor over the top of the fuel tank and water tank in the bed and the windshield would could store under that. I’ve done this before and the windshield usually stays out of the vehicle most of the time I wear googles when driving. The difference in this instance is this truck will have enough space to store it so when I do need or get told I must have a windshield ( usually my wife) I can just pop it in and go.
