2020 KRX
Bought from a friend who bought it from a friend so I know where’s it’s been and how it’s been taken care of.
Has a long list of things on it, diffs, +2.5 A Arms, custom cage (kinda hate it), 35s, clutch springs, Brute Force John tuner, audio, Warn winch, etc

Congrats on the KRX. What's the reasoning for the weird cage? Any plans to re-do it?

The PO said he liked the "wagon look." Its getting redone but I'm not sure if I want to re-work it or just order a knockdown from Welderd.com

The roof-line on the first one wouldn't work for me, the second one doesn't look bad though.

I need headroom so I went with a cagewrx kit for mine.

Solid Rig! Those things work great on the trail, and are super comfortable for sasquatch sized people like myself.. 2nd cage looks better to me as well, first one doesn't seem to scale right with the overall size of those machines to my eye... But then again, its not my machine so my opinion doesnt really matter.... Additionally a lot of people are over the double b pillar look as well... I still dig it though. Following along.

I have a Cagewrx on my RZR. very nice kit. no trimming or fitting required. They didnt send instructions with either kit I have bought from them but it's not too bad to figure out.

Look at the rear view of both cages. They didn't bend the A to B pillar bars in two planes so the roof ends up being narrow as **** compared to the stock cage. Nope, no thanks.

I personally like the wagon look, just not the way that one is done. I would add an A pillar support bar to the existing cage and then redo the back. No sense in buying a whole different cage when you have a good base to start with.

solid point

Something else to think about. The factory hard points at the base of the A-pillar have a fairly steep inward tilt. As in, if the cage builder follows that line, the roof is narrower than the cab itself. You can see that inward tilt in this pic.

The guy that built my cage put an immediate bend at the base of the a-pillar. That makes the a-b hoops vertical instead of tilted inward, makes the roof wider, and gives you additional room before a wayward head could contact the ground in a hard roll. I was a big fan of that.

Hopefully this explains what I mean.

Edit: after re-reading Slowpoke’s post, I just made the exact point he was making, so—whoops. Looks like the original wagon-style cage in the OP also features vertical A-B hoops and a wide roof.

Took it to “Mid-East TN last weekend. Cage works (still ugly) drivers side knuckle does not. Apparently the 1st gen knuckles are weak and this is the only thing on the front end that wasn’t upgraded. They are about to be
