Post up your latest new or used tool purchases

I just need a coring rig to utilize that. Bought a concrete core drill to make into a rig some day……… :lmao:

36grit zirc disks

no
bad
jig separators first
I know…. I have everything to do it just need to install them…. I’m hung up on how I want to build the shoots to feed the jigs. I want to be able to flop gates to be able to bypass them and control the feed rate to them.

You cleaned up
Yes, and there's more where it came from, estate sale.

I need to pull the cylinder off the press, it's not mounted very well. I think it'll probably get an actual press cylinder or upside down bottle jack there. The flange has 4 holes already, just have to find the correct cylinder.

Seller says it's a 40 ton press. I think it's homemade.

Channels are 6 inch and span 32 inches to the hole centers. No idea if that's about the right frame for 40 tons. Uprights are 1/2" x 3"

The tiny 3/8 drive cable winch will probably get synthetic rope installed and will go in the snowmobile box.

Nice load of tools, I think someday that might happen to all of us that collect tools and equipment, it’ll move on to another owner that I hope can appreciate it and use it

Can you refill those tanks?

Bought a big mill…

$1000, currently inoperative has been troubleshot to a failed vector drive. Hopefully this works out. There’s gonna be an awful lot of hassle in moving it.

Holy **** that's awesome.

What's the rigging/transport cost to get it into your home shop? Probably 2-3x what you paid for it?

I got my drill press set up with an annular arbor and a good assortment of annular cutters.

I think I saw that listed somewhere but can't remember where now.

You stole that, just like your lathe. :flipoff2:

It was on Govdeals, I had bid on it some last week. It was up a couple thousand and I decided I had too much going on to figure out the logistics and walked away. Not sure what it sold for then. Later that day I was kicking myself over that one. So when it was reposted today with a $1k buy it now, I did not hesitate.

Now to figure out those logistics....

Ahh....that was it. Govdeals is one of the few that I check religiously every few days.

I doubt you can loose on that deal, even if it's not fixable. There has to be several grand worth of good, sellable parts on that thing.

What type of gov facility is it coming out of?

Got the trolley off today. Seems to me it's a manufactured press trolley. Center hole is some huge thread. Not sure what thread the enerpac cylinders have on the outside.

The 4 hole pattern is not square. Measurements are center to center.

Any guesses as to what a safe working load would be for this press, so I can find a cylinder/jack for it?
Through pins are about 0.930" diameter.

Got the lathe home and in my fab shop for now. Next phase will be swapping out my old lathe in my house basement, and that… will be a fun day and a long one I think.

I tried a different lifting this time and it tilted over a bunch. No turning back at that point and moved it into the shop puking oil out of the coolant tank and gear box oil out. Bright side I know the gear oil is clean and it has oil in it and I wouldn’t use what ever coolant fluid that was in the tank anyway.

I did lose a control box cover lid (has a dial with numbers on a ring in it.) looks to be tied into the motor wiring. Not sure what it’s for yet.
