Been jamming on a Chevelle and thought somebody here might get a kick out of it. First fire up happened last night. Still tons to go before its driving. Lots of rust holes but rust is light weight lol. BB454, TH400, 12 Bolt.

Chevelle made it out of the garage this weekend and even did a couple test drives! Got the tach wired up and finally tracked down a fuel issue. The fuel pressure was all over the place and actually started flooding the secondaries when the fuel pressure overpowered the float. Photo above is all the **** I found inside the fuel pressure regulator. No idea how moisture got in there but clearly it needed a diaphragm and spring swap. I think I have that all lined out now. Need to get the steering column put together which will be challenging as It is missing all the hardware and I didn't take it apart. Need to line out some new tires and keep checking things off the list. The wiring inside the car is all chewed from rats and previous owners so I will have to start digging into that. Right now it has one tail light that is always on and no other lights that work. Also need to get some seat belts in the car asap. From my initial rips around the neighborhood it is clear this thing runs hard! Pretty exciting for me as I have never had a hot rod.
