Seems like grabbing some trailer brake might have helped that situation....

Do semi-trucks have a way to apply the trailer brakes like in a pickup truck? I drive air-brake firetrucks all the time, but we don't pull trailers......so my knowledge of how air-brake trailers work is lacking.

Have you played around with the Menards Barn Builder at all? It looks like you're in New Hampster, so you'd have to do a bit of traveling to get to your closest Menards, but it could be worth it. It's also a good way to see what features add and subtract from your price...

The crank up Jack on my boat trailer sank in the dirt over the winter so I sent my 7 year old to get the offroad floor Jack and drag out to the yard. He actually was able to do it….. zero percent chance he’d have been able to drag any of my other jacks out there

I got that truck dragged hope last night. Turns out it was pissing ATF from rust holes in the steel section (as illustrated by my red arrows). In the process of getting the steel line out of the fitting on the soft line, that fitting on the soft line broke, about where the red line is sketched...
