anyone heading to SMORR this weekend? a buddy is going to be camping for the weekend and I may run down for a day trip on Saturday. prolly roll in late morning and stay 'til after the fireworks show. Looks like high 80s and chance of rain currently.

I may on Sat also but just depends on what gets done around house before that.
Went down on Saturday for the day. Rolled in about noon and stayed 'til the fireworks were over with. Was very dry there. Gate house lady said it hadn't rained in 3 weeks and I believe it. Some of the really deep mudholes at the back of the park that are always tank traps were dry or just tacky mud in the bottom. A good time was had, a few beers were drank and my buddy that was camping made two tri tips on the smoker. 
It was busy but not as busy as Memorial or Labor Day weekends typically are. I think between the heat and the 4th is typically a lake holiday there were a few electric sites open. I am sure fuel prices had an effect on it as well.
