Is going to a parallel twin a disappointment coming from an inline 4?

Looks like middleweight inline fours are going away. Sad. I should probably buy that GSXR 750 I've wanted for a while now.

Suzuki now has the GSX-8R, a 749cc parallel twin.

The styling in pretty good, but how underwhelming is a parallel twin going to be over a similar displacement inline four?

I image it doesn't sound good at all, not as fast, etc. Will I be disappointed?

They sure did nail the aesthetics, though.

only one way to find out

Yeah I may just say fuck it and put a deposit on it.

Not expecting it to compete with a true supersport.

Also considering the retro-themed Kawasaki Z900RS CAFE. It's only $3K more and should haul ass with a 950cc inline four.

Yes. Parallel twins are the most boring, soul-less engine design in motorcycles (including the cross planes/ 270's). I'd never own any bike with one.

Prove me wrong :flipoff2:
