Ok, so I have an opportunity to buy a BMW 1200 GSA with 60k miles for a pretty good price, and I am really on the fence. I have been searching a bit and I have found some higher mileage GSA, but I am wondering if these are the exceptions. I have a Dodge Dakota with 328,000 miles so I acutely understand the concept of YMMV and that maintenance is king, but I don't have any frame of reference about BMW boxers on even what to look for.

My friend has one around 2006, 2007 generation. Closer to 100k but needs about 3k worth of work. Front seals, airbag, and 1 other thing.

He loves it, did 5k mile riding trip few months ago to coast and back.

I ridden it to nor cal and back. I'd definitely own one in a heartbeat.

He had F 800ish bike and did not like it. Would've rather ride my vstrom 650 instead.

The new r1150 gsa are cool as hell, friend's dad owns one.

My buddy rides one with about 60K on it. Around 2006 model. It is cool and does well. He hasn't had any serious issues with it that I know of.

I the F series and so does my wife and they have been good.
