No posts in four days?

I was there yesterday dredging up some spring and shock tech. Was hoping to save the whole thread offline but apparently that's not possible except page by page (all 37 of them). Last post in the TP was two months ago. Third thread down in GCC was last touched 5 days ago.

EDIT: And I still have a red star even though I stopped the payment when this place launched.

I don't know if I still have one over there, but I never paid for years (that I know of) and always had a star.

EDIT: Just logged in, still have it.

The interesting and educational part of the entire thing to me is that lance was sitting on a 10x + valuation to what his check said and didn’t know. If dollars = value he was the biggest loser and had no clue what he had. With u4 taking in big sponsorship and all the kings who posted on pbb running off… lance missed the boat! add in the millions of opportunities for pirate parts sales, dealerships, build shops, etc. he tripped over millions to pick up pennies.

I don’t blame or fault him but I’ll learn from it. Guy had a gem and pawed it to the lowest bidder with no future.

I follow him on Instagram, doesn’t seem like he’s hurting too bad.

Isnt that everybody on social media?

I joined sep 02, mostly lurked and learned.

I remember how cool it was to read the “insider” ttc info as it happened, and guys always poking roxy. What was her deal anyway?

It was def different having to sit down at your desktop to post on a forum, remember the trouble youd go through to post a picture?

Ive still got the suburban white guys movie somewhere.

**** that place, dead to me.

All that promotion **** you need to do to ink those deals and make money takes effort he didn't want to put in.

its like the guy who has a 4runner that wont run but didnt do anything to troubleshoot it. "selling as is, it may be something simple to fix but im not going to fix it". the next owner swaps in a new coil and wires and it runs like itll never stop.

yeah, he got money for the truck as it sat, but he could have gotten a lot more for it if he'd have tried a little bit.

But, it was ultimately his to not want to **** with anymore.

I've been on both sides- I got a gmt400 for pennies because all it needed was an ignition module.... and i sold a 3rd gen. hemi for pennies because I was tired of ****ing with it and apparently all it needed was a timing chain.

You gotta respect a man's choice to walk away.

hey, i get it. but the poster wasnt wrong when he said there was untapped potential left on the table.

Lance just decided to crash that piece of **** and then stepped away.....

yeah its our little clubhouse where no girls are allowed. because seriously, there are absolutely no women here. None. wtf are we doing that repels women like the plague?
i seem to recall some homos bitching about a certain redhead being a attention whore when she posted the ***tays..

I made it through the great PW reset... started March, 2000.

Hopefully you started a new spring & shock tech forum here after :flipoff2:

The point i am making is that the forum concept from the 2000's is dead. From an investment standpoint, its a horrible investment.
I disagree. People are moving away from toxic social media as a whole. People once had 3-4 apps they used and now participation on FB & IG are drastically down, people are using maybe. What VS is doing right is buying the dip, what they are doing wrong ... we all know.

Yes and No. The internet and tech thats come along since he sold 7-8yrs ago is tremendous. Sure he could have done some of those things but they were much bigger hurdles to undertake back then.

I don't blame the guy one bit for wanting a change in life, just aggravated that he wouldn't sell to members. I don't get why ANY forum owner wouldn't take an offer from VS, tell the members it was for $X and let them come up with a way to buy it.

Its not instantgram or tiktok
Instant gratification and short attention spans, thats where forums can't compete

Is it possible to delete your account there if you've been banned?
I bet if you email them. All it does it remove your name from your posts. I don't believe it removes your name when somebody quoted you though .... not 100% on that

The 'gram and 'book are great if all you wanna do is post pics of your junk and farm likes and ****..

Forums are so much better for tech. Try asking a question on either social media and the post gets lost so fast even if you do get a decent answer it's a MF'er to find the post again..

Maybe we are just old school here but I prefer this for actual tech.

I agree, FB or Insta-tock are completely lame for anything tech related. They just can't support the content in any meaningful way. Those platforms are for people with short attention spans, by design. Anybody that wants to delve into something for more than 30 seconds would benefit from this type of platform.
