    What engine and trans t case etc would you swap into the GTB ?

      4BT as a 6BT would stick out 2BT's out into the front of said truck.

        4BT is pretty short, I can drop a tape measure on mine and give a real dimension if you need one.

        Have you considered the old COE trick and moving the engine to the bed?

        Who is the user that builds those awesome diesel motorcycles? he gets his hands on some really small diesels.

                    Not up with small 'murican diesels but couple of other 4 pots I can think of:
                    Mitsi 4M40/41 2.8/3.2L
                    Toyota 1KZ 3.0L
                    VAG 1.9PD engine
                    Isuzu 4H series 4.0L+
                    Isuzu 4J series ~3.0L

                    The 4H series might be a good bet as they're used in the NPR and NQR light trucks.

                      Im good with a 4BT turbo if it will fit, parts available is a major consern and the flathead 4 cyl im of the belief parts wouldnt be available for.
