First chink in the armor? Target gets off the porch!

    https://thegrio.com/2020/07/13/targe...-lives-matter/

Not really but this is a good start to get a change of the momentum going. I also noticed that Amazon's BLM banner on the homepage is gone today

Not that Amazon is backing off but it was nice not to see that.

Target must have seen a response from their customers. I hope this becomes a trend

          Called it.

So, do black lives no longer matter to Amazon? Like I said in the other thread, you can't keep it up forever, and sooner or later when you drop it that's the first question that comes to mind.

Seems like a week or so is the current corporate attention span. I noticed that the BLM category came and went. All of the high profile business "support" is just lip service so they don't get thrown under the Cancel Culture bus by the outrage machine.

Black lives will no longer matter after the elections... unless Trump gets back in of course

Yes, with a caveat on yoga pants being on a nice ass,

Target as well as many others have done what they should do in all of this. That is to release a statement for damage prevention.. Its the very same when i saw that allied electronics made their insignia into a gay pride Flag on pride day.

Mr Shabazz said it best. A bunch of insignificant notions and meaningless gestures will be done.

Its just normal operations that should be part of any crisis plan. What you as the individual person reads into it is your own personal issue.

Considering the number of black people that are actors or other "famous" people that are denouncing BLM for their "what we believe" page it's only a matter of time before this goes down. You can't beat the numbers. And when a household without 2 parents is 70%+ more likey to end up with the children going to jail and all kinds of other bad things it's not the greatest thing to tout that as your mission statement.

BLM what we believe page: "We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable." and this "We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered."
