my local public school teachers are fucking insane

Holy shit have my local public school teachers gone off the fucking deep end. They will not shut the fuck up about how they are GOING TO DIE if they open the schools back up in the fall. Which is literally the exact opposite of all the data and science we have collected thus far. Because the european countries have had their schools open for months now with no spikes in cases, actually all metrics have fallen.

This is what these stupid bitches are posting everywhere

You forget that most of EU is past the second wave. (Edit: first wave im dumb)
It's still being discussed here though.
Some schools had cases and were closed up again for 2 weeks.

And if parents would teach their kids basic shit, then teachers wouldn't have to and could teach. Respect for teachers is non - existent these days. But I see why...

As someone that studied to become an elementary school teacher I say this all the time,

be involved in your children's education.

Typical female "I'm a special snowflake princess" mentality. Millions of us never even stopped working. Yet these cunts act like they're being asked to storm the beaches at Normandy. This is yet another reason that even if I had a kid, they would not be going to public schools.

My wife is a kindergarten teacher. She is afraid they wont let her come back and will be forced to do more online teaching. Half of her kids didn't turn in anything after the school closed this year. Good luck getting those parents involved in anything to do with school.

            Fuk em.

Don't pay them so they can actually enjoy the government failure ...

Start charter schools where they are held responsible for student performance.. and actual common sense fact based curriculum...instead of feelings based bullshit.

You know. Perform or fired for lack of performance.

That evil feeling killer is called.....

            accountability.

Thomas Sowel has a new book out. If you have children....you should read it.

Totally true....the majority of people can not home school. We are products of government education and incapable.

Thus charter schools with normal programs. Competition is exactly that....keeps swords sharp

The leftists will open those public schools back up eventually. That's where they turn your child into a socialist. The teachers will be told to shut their traps and get back to it.

A good friend is a public school teacher, usually 6th grade. She is conservative Christian in a liberal area...I asked her if the school district determines a liberal agenda. She said not really but there are guide lines to keep to a neutral approach. She claims her best students have a parent(s) who cares and works with students at home. Not directed at anyone here, but she said parents who complain the most usually spend the least time with their kids.
I taught auto shop and electrical construction at vocational HS for a time. The students are all different and what works for one doesn't for another. It can be very demanding. I could do it but too stressful. I wasn't cut out to teach in a classroom and went back to being a construction electrician...

Been teaching 6th grade for 15 years and have never seen the liberal "indoctrination" in an elementary school. Not from me for sure. Not from any other staff, and not when my kids went through school.

Maybe that starts up in high school. I don't know.

We do the Pledge every morning and add in the Nation Anthem on Fridays. Every school in the Fresno area that I know of does the same unless its raining and kids go straight to class rather than line up on the blacktop

Now if you consider something like Black History Month and doing a quick couple lessons on MLK or something indoctrination, then maybe. I don't

In college, its a was a freak show when I went.

So how do you feel about singing to the flag every morning?

As to the OP's meme, I think that there are drama queens in every profession. I can say at our school, we did a blind survery asking every staff member how they felt about opening the school back up. This was done in late May and it was 100% yes. A few people said...just make it as safe as possible but yes.

Call it being a whiner or whatever, but there is some truth in the fact that being around kids all day, and not just the 30-40 in your class, is a germ spreading factory. There isn't a time all year that I don't have kids sick, sneezing, coughing, etc.

I am not worried. If I get it, then I do.

I hated teaching from home, and I worked my ass off teaching from home. I was doing 16-18 hours a day/7 days a week trying to keep up. I worked much less AT work, and I love my kids, coaching, etc.

Many teachers are women and many are older. I can't really blame them for being nervous. We have a few teachers that are in their 60s and one that is vulnerable from other issues. They are wanting to get back asap, but that probably isn't the norm

I just have to comment on the science and data comment.

There's a meme going around, since Pennsylvania has a tranny for head of DOH who has been "guiding" PA through this. The meme says, "Believe the science. Except about chromosomes, that's all bullshit."

Everyone picks and chooses what they want to take as factual.
