Bad ground. It's always a bad ground, but you know that so. . . are you asking something or just adding tech threads?

Asking, trying to diagnose, the ground to bulb is good or wouldnt have brake light on that fixture.

Its a 3 in one style backup, Brake/turn, and emergency flasher.

I still think it's a bad ground. Maybe the continuous brake light can burn through it but the flasher doesn't feel it. I used to have an Olds that grounded the brake lights through the front parking lamps, turning them on in the process. Run a wire from the battery negative and clamp it to the bulb socket. See if it works with a good ground.

            Ground is good.

Ran ground wire from battery no change...

Changed bulb no light beyond stop light in the dual element bulb.

No voltage for left turn signal bulb element.

Still flashes fast like a bulb is out even when there is one in position.

So its the flasher or turn signal switch imho.

Only had 1157 standard bulbs replaced with LED bulbs.

                      Did it work before this?

IIRC and it's been awhile LED bulbs only work in one direction so an 1157 would work where an LED won't if someone wired it backwards.

It had always had standard incandescent bulbs in the past but the failure happened before I attempted installing the LED bulbs.

Have prepped the column for switch replacement once I find it.

The flasher switch very stubborn coming out.

I don't understand how it could be the switch or flasher if you have one light on the headache rack that works.

I dont either but what other components are there i the system to fail beyond the flasher or the switch ?

That one wire alone got chewed on by a mouse ?
as the ground wire has continuity to tbe frame and the wire that powers the brake light has power when brake is activated.

As I see it since no fuses are blown and the right side works fine IE its not flashing fast like the left side signal on either the headache rack brake / signal lights or the front signal light.

Its either the flasher or as they call it the "Combination Switch"

Does the bed have a ground strap from the bed to the frame? If it doesn't I'd put one that way you know it has a good path to ground and is not grounding through one of the other bulbs or something.
